Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Column' () is a member of the Rosaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc) – hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe. Many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Column' can reach an ultimate height of 2.5–4 metres and a spread of 2.5–4 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing, east–facing, south–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun, partial shade position.
