Kniphofia 'Bees' Lemon' (red-hot poker 'Bees' Lemon') is a member of the Asphodelaceae family. This perennial exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) – hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk.
When fully mature, Kniphofia 'Bees' Lemon' can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing aspect and exposed exposure. It thrives best in loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
