Hydrangea arborescens 'Incrediball' ® (North American wild hydrangea) is a member of the Hydrangeaceae family. This deciduous shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) – hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk.
When fully mature, Hydrangea arborescens 'Incrediball' ® can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing, west–facing, east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in clay, loam soil types and should be placed in a partial shade position.
