Monarda 'Schneewittchen' (Snow White) (bergamot 'Schneewittchen') is a member of the Lamiaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) – hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk.
When fully mature, Monarda 'Schneewittchen' (Snow White) can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing, south–facing, west–facing aspect and exposed, sheltered exposure. It thrives best in loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun, partial shade position.
